TECHNICAL SALES REP (FITTER/MACHINIST)

Location : NSW Sydney Region

We are offering a “lifestyle position” with regular working hours, so family can be a priority (no weekend work or overtime involved) eventually to become your own boss.

On the road during the day, with a home office base.

Our company, Miller's Tooling Pty Ltd, is a major quality supplier of Australian & international engineering tooling and equipment with our customers in the engineering and machine shop / toolmaking industry. We service and supply all over Australia daily.

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Rep for:

1) Sydney and districts of NSW  (ideally living around North West Sydney area)

Your main role is to grow the business in Sydney & Regions introducing existing customers to new, better & smarter tooling solutions for their machine shops, checking their consumables stocks for the lathes & mills, etc and also growing new customers. You will be actively marketing, quoting and gaining new orders. We will provide 80% of leads and have leads ready to go now.

Your duties include:

·   Calling on & advising customers of tooling ideas
·   Following Up Leads in Timely Manner
·   Quoting and Managing all Areas of the Sales Cycle
·   Follow Up of Quotes to Create Orders
·   Taking Day to Day Orders
·   Onsite Delivery and Orders.
·   Updating and Working with Head Office (Brisbane), every step of the way through the Quoting Process.

 

Ideally you will have experience in machine shop / toolmaking / engineering industry as being able to talk the talk is important. Previous experience in CNC's and carbide and cutting tools is a definite advantage to you.

Salary, Company Display Van, Fuel Allowance, Super, iPhone, iPad, Laptop and Bonus Scheme will be provided and will be based on experience and selling capability.

You'd describe yourself as honest, hard working, a “stickler for detail”, thoughtful and wanting to meet and increase targets. Ideally this role could be for somebody wanting to get off the tools and to utilise their engineering and exceptional customer service skills. You really must enjoy being on the road and travelling NSW. You will be required occasionally to commute to Brisbane, fly and drive as required. 75% of your work will be in Sydney region, with about 3 - 4 nights a month travelling: Newcastle, Wollongong, etc.
